Ronald Kenneth Vice, 62, passed away peacefully at his home in Byram January 27, 2010. Visitation will be 5-8pm Friday, January 29, 2010 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and one hour before the 1:00pm service on Saturday, January 30, 2010 in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Easthaven Cemetery in Brookhaven.\ \ Mr. Vice served 2 tours in Vietnam receiving the Purple Heart and Bronze Star medal. He served with the M Company, 3rd Squadron, 11th Armored Calvary Regiment. He was very patriotic adhering to keeping the highest traditions of the military. He was never more proud than when his grandson, Cade, carried on the family tradition and enlisted in the Army last year.\ \ He was born June 7, 1947 in Jackson, MS to Marvin Vice and Sarah Boyte Vice. He was raised in Brookhaven joining the military at 17 years of age. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and dear friend to many. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Byram.\ \ He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Pennington (Penny) Vice, and his parents, Marvin and Sarah Vice.\ \ He is survived by his wife, Leigh of Byram; daughters Andrea Leigh Crosby of Brandon, Rikkie Case and husband Shane of Brookhaven; sons Keeley Vice and wife Celeste and Devin Vice of Houma, LA; step-son Paul Cowart and wife Lisa of Jackson; step-daughter Cresslyn Bailey and husband Danny of Pelahatchie; grandchildren Cade and April Vice, step-grandchildren Jacob Case, Grayson Cowart, Kannon Jade Cowart, Justin Daniel and Austin Lee Bailey and numerous other family members.\ \
