Mr. Roy Nelson Williams

Roy Nelson Williams, 85, passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 24th from 5-8 PM and Thursday, August 25th from 10 AM until the 11 AM Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland. Mr. Williams loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was retired from Shell Oil Company where he enjoyed the friendship of his coworkers. He served his country honorably in the US Army and he loved hunting with his boys and gardening. Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his son, Mitchael “Mike” Williams and his parents, James and Ursula Williams. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Maudina Brady Williams of Richland; son, Pat (Teresa) Williams of Richland; daughter-in-law, Teresa “Sissy” Williams of Richland; sister, Gemme Sue Walters of Laurel; grandchildren, Mandy Williams, Misty Gainey, Jessica Holeman, and Michael Williams; great grandchildren, Gracie Mae Lambert, Ben Pruitt, Manning and McKinley Holeman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
