Royce Arnold Bridges

Royce Arnold Bridges, 91, went to be with his Lord Saturday, December 14, 2024. The family will receive friends and extended family for visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, and again on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence MS. The funeral services will be Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel followed by interment at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Braxton, MS. 

Arnold was a long-time resident of Florence, MS, and a member of First Baptist Church of Florence. He was born on September 20, 1933. Arnold was a talented man who worked for Gordon Jewelers, Dumas Milner Chevrolet, and Herrin-Gear Chevrolet. He also was co-owner of Briar Hill Nursing Home with his loyal wife of 59 years. Arnold loved family, cooking, fishing, hunting, and gardening. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann Bridges; his parents, Otis O. Bridges and Tressie Bridges and brother, Douglas Bridges. He is survived by his sister, Pat Sammons; brother, Ervin Bridges; daughter, Debra G. Bridges; sons, Ronald D. Bridges and Arnie W. (Pam) Bridges; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
