Roy H. Mees

Roy H. Mees, 74, died Saturday, October 20, 2012 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS.\ \ A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday from 5:00 until the 6:30 P.M. Memorial Service at First Baptist Church of Richland. Chancellor Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.\ \ A native of Columbia, Illinois, Mr. Mees had lived in the Richland area since 2000, moving there from South Jackson. He was a U.S. Navy and a U.S. Marine Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. His last occupation was with the U.S. Postal Service Candlestick and Richland locations. Mr. Mees was an avid drag racer and enjoyed fishing. In recent past, his focus was on his family and grandchildren.\ \ He is preceded in death by his parents Adelia and Herman Mees and a daughter-in-law Cindy Sebren Mees.\ \ Mr. Mees is survived by his wife of 53 years, Nellmarie Jackson Mees: Daughter Marina Mees Pickett and husband Calvin Pickett; Sons, Troy D Mees and special friend Donnie Tate, Ronald E. Mees, and Rusty D.
