Ms. Ruby Gail Barnett

Ms. Ruby Gail Barnett passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at her home in Pearl. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9 and at 12:00 noon until the 1:00 p.m. funeral service on Wednesday, October 10th at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Interment will be at Lakewood Cemetery in Clinton. Ms. Gail Barnett was born in Yazoo City to Sidney and Ruby Green. She lived in Jackson most of her life but moved to Pearl in 2004. She attended First Baptist Church in Jackson. Ms. Gail retired from the Jackson Police Department after working there for 18 years and her passion was reading. Ms. Barnett was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Ann Overby. She is survived by her son, Tommy (Shanna) Barnett from Brandon; daughter, Robin Barnett of Pearl; grandchildren, Brady Breanna, Kolby, Kayla, Kassie; and great-grandchildren, Bailey, Kayden, Holden, Ella, Laykin, and Charlee.
