Ruby Estell Hynum, 91, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at her home in Terry. Visitation will be 4-8pm Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 2pm Sunday, July 20, at New Haven Baptist Church with a one hour visitation prior to service time at the church. Interment will follow at Terry Cemetery. Mrs. Hynum was born in Taylorsville, MS to the late Joseph and Ada Ivy McNeil. She was a seamstress for Williamson & Dickie for 35 years and a charter member of 72 years at New Haven Baptist Church. Mrs. Hynum dearly loved her children, great & great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Lawrence Hynum; son Joseph Larry “Bo” Hynum; granddaughter Teresa Duncan; great-great grandson Noah Watson; son-in-law Glenn Stapp and 9 siblings (2 boys & 7 girls) Survivors include her son John (Johnnie) Shelton of Terry; daughters Jo Ann (Cecil) Watson and Nancy Stapp both of Terry; brother-in-law John Hynum and sister-in-law Katherine Hynum both of Perry, GA; sisters Willie Lipscomb of Richmond, VA, Bessie Williams of Florence, Barbara (Bobby) Boon of Madison; Eileen Gafford of Century, FL; grandchildren all of Terry are Anita Stapp, Glenn Stapp, Jr., Jenny (Jeff) Emerson, Joey (Missy) Watson, Chris Watson, Jessica Watson and grand son-in-law James Duncan; 9 great grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren.
