Ruby Sweeney

Funeral services for Ruby Sweeney will be Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Chancellor Funeral Home of Byram, MS. The family will receive the public beginning at 1PM until 2PM. The funeral service begins at 2PM with Keith Wilson officiating. Interment will be at Natchez Trace Memorial Cemetery immediately following the service.

Ruby passed away, August 28, 2024 in Florida. She was born in SoSo, MS, on October 17, 1932 to the late Oliver and Frances Braswell. Ruby had a love for her church and her church family that led her to fulfill a lifetime of service to mankind. Her hobbies were sewing and reading; she kept her house spotless as she enjoyed cleaning too. Her life will be remembered, and her legacy will live on through her family.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J.C. Sweeney; three sons, Randy, Carl and Dale Carlile and a grandson, Evin Carlile.

She is survived by her son, Danny Carlile and his wife, Lisa; daughter, Jeanie McFarland (Mack); her seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
