Russell Smith

Mr. Russell Lowell Smith, 78 went to his heavenly home Monday, April 7, 2008 at MS Baptist Medical Center. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 9, 5-8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Services will be at the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Florence City Cemetery.\ \ Mr. Smith was a retired Technical Sergeant with the USAF and afterwards worked as a real estate investor. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.\ \ He is preceded in death by his parents, John E. and Ruth Robertson Smith and siblings: Fred, Alson, Gavin and Cecil Smith and Vivian Henderson.\ \ He leaves behind his wife, Vaneesa Gay Smith of Florence, Daughters: Neidra K. (Richard) Bartlett and Rhonda (Richard) Harris all of Florence; brother, Herbert D. Smith of Florence, sister, Lanell Perkins of Mobile, Al; two grandchildren: Brooke Harris and Brett Russell Harris.\
