Mrs. Ruth Gunn, 95, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, 21, 2018 at St. Dominics Hospital. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 23 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram and from 10:00-11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 24 at Lakeshore Congregational Methodist Church in Bryam. The service will begin at 11:00 AM with interment to follow at the Clinton Cemetery. Mrs. Gunn was born in Cascilla, MS in Tallahatchie County to Wesley McDonald Buchanan and Nellie Dorothea Strider on May 19, 1923. She grew up in Jackson and graduated from Central High School in 1941. She lived most of her life in Raymond and was a Bookkeeper for Mutual Insurance Agency for 41 years. She was a member of the Lakeshore Congregational Methodist Church in Byram. Mrs. Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 63 years, Charles H. Gunn; daughter, Janet Champion; grandson, Sid Wesley Champion; and son-in-law, Cleve Daniel. She is survived by daughters, Carol Daniel of Madison and Cathy (Russell) McClaskey of Clinton; grandchildren, Brian W. (Ashley) Daniel of Ridgeland, Emily D. (John) Garcia of Canton, Caitlin M. Smith of Raymond, Wyatt McClaskey, Kelsey Brinkly, Lauren Champion all of Clinton; and great-grandchildren, Alex Ryne Burton, Marisol Ruth Garcia, Briley Cristin Daniel, and Atticus James Smith.
