Mrs. Ruth P. Moore

Ruth P. Moore, 81, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8pm Tuesday, December 5, 2017 and 1:00pm until the 2:00pm funeral service Wednesday, December 6, 2017, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Bubba Walker, Jessie McDowell, Ben McDowell, Ryan Davis, Steve Moore, and Gerald Buford. Mrs. Moore was born in Lawrence County to the late Maxie M. Price and Velma Price Dale. She was a longtime resident of Byram, having lived the last two years in Flowood. Mrs. Moore retired from Entergy after 47 years of loyal service and was a member of First Baptist Church of Byram. She is preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Everett Harl Moore. Survivors include her sister, Maxine P. Walker; niece, Peggy W. McDowell (Jessie); nephew, Earl L. “Bubba” Walker, Jr. (Debbie); great niece, Jessica M. Davis (Ryan); great nephew, Ben McDowell (Candace); great-great nephews, Tripp Cooper McDowell and Brooks Camden Davis; great-great nieces, Linley Price Davis and Adaline Harper McDowell: step-daughter, Claudia M. Buford; step-son, Steve Moore;
