Ruth Weathersby Allen

Ruth Allen, 89, died November 10, 2008 losing a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Visitation will be 5-8pm Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Graveside services will be at 2pm Thursday at the family cemetery, Stonewall in Shivers, MS.\ \ Predeceased by her husband, Claude, Mrs. Allen is survived by two daughters, Betty Fortenberry (Bobby) of Jackson, Donna Malone (Joe,deceased) of Madison; one son Bob Bailey (Alva Lynne) of Madison; 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, one sister Nell Dunavant and one brother, Sid Weathersby.\ \ Mrs. Allen was a longtime member of Alta Woods Baptist Church.
