Mrs. Sallie Dickerson Whitfield

Sallie D. Whitfield, 75, passed away on, Friday, April 25, 2014. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, April 30th from 12pm until 2pm. A graveside service will follow at Lakewood Memorial park on Clinton Blvd. in Jackson. Mrs. Whitfield was born in Jackson and has remained a life long resident. Mrs. Whitfield is a faithful member of Lakeshore Methodist Church in Byram. Sallie enjoyed playing golf with friends and dancing was her passion. Her animals were her life. “Misti”, “Suede” and “Harley” were at her side daily. “Buster Brown” and “Tinkerbell” lived their last days recently at her side. She is survived by her husband, Henry Whitfield; daughters, Sheila (Jimmy) Dykes of Clinton, Mara Whitfield of Jackson and Nancy Alred of Arkansas; son, Norman “Hut” Hutchison of Canton; brother, Joe Dickerson of Texas; and sister, Linda Sedberry of Florida; she also leaves to her memory many other family members and friends.
