Samantha Mallory\ Jackson\ \ Samantha Ray Mallory, 39, passed away Friday, August 10, 2012 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Tuesday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence with graveside services following in Laurel at 1:30 PM. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5-8 PM Monday and from 9 AM until service time Tuesday.\ \ Samantha was a graduate of Florence High School and was a faithful member of Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton. She loved attending and was a member of the choir. She was a very loving person, always crafting baby blankets for the new babies in the community.\ \ Samantha was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jim and Bessie Hancock and Samuel and Alma Ray; and by her uncles, Nathan Hancock and Dale Ray. She is survived by her husband, Tommy Mallory of Jackson; parents, James K. and Doris Ray of Mize; step-daughter, Jade Mallory of Roxie; brothers, Richard Ray of Raymond and JW (BJ) Ray of Magee; and two sisters, Pam Phillips of Mendenhall and Darlene Stewart of Richland. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.\ \ Memorial contributions may be made to Morrison Heights Baptist Church.
