Samuel Myers

Mr. Samuel V. "Sam" Myers, 69, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Thursday, December 11 from Hospice Ministries. Visitation will be Saturday 4-8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Services will be at the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Briar Hill Cemetery.\ \ A native and lifelong resident of Rankin County, Mr. Myers lived his life enjoying special times with grandchildren, family and gardening. He was retired from Shell Oil Co. as Construction Engineer. He was also a Veteran of the USAF.\ \ He is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Myers, and a brother W.L. (Ranzy) Myers.\ \ He is survived by his son, Steven (Tracy) Myers of Houston, TX; daughter, Cassandra (David) Moss of Brandon; mother-in-law, Pauline Boteler of Florence; brothers: Homer Myers, Glenn Myers and Jimmy Myers all of Star and Freddy Myers of Pearl; sisters: Betty Butler and Sylvia Parrish both of Star; 3 grandchildren: A.J.
