Mrs Sandra Little

Mrs. Sandra Kay Little, 70, of Byram went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 18, 2016. Visitation will be 5-8pm Monday, March 21 and 1pm until the 2pm Funeral Service on Tuesday, March 22 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. Born in Gallman to W.A. and Grace Haley Heard, Sandra had lived in the Jackson area most of her life. She had spent 50 years in nursing, graduating from Gilfoy School of Nursing in 1966 and William Carey College, and was currently working at Merit Health River Oaks. She attended Central Baptist Church in Byram and was a member of Gallman Methodist Church. Sandra was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who spent her life in service to others through her passion for nursing and absolute devotion to her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her son, Benjamin Todd Little and her brother, Thomas M. Heard. She is survived by her husband, Ben W. Little; her daughter, Christy Higdon; grandchildren, Spencer Taylor, Warren Taylor, and Lindsey Taylor; great grandson, Harper Nicholson; her brother, Jake Heard; and her sisters, Sarah Long, Martha Davis and Mamie Heard.
