Mrs. Sandra Christine Ward

Sandra Christine Ward,79, went to be with her Lord, Saturday July 17, 2021 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 1 PM until the hour of service at 2 PM all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, MS. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories in Florence, MS. Sandra was born October 7, 1941 in Natchez, MS to Donald and Doris Lee Nunn. She was a member of Richland UMC and previously worked at Epworth UMC and Forest Hill UMC. She retired after 31 years with Jackson Public Schools, working as a secretary at Peeples and Whitten Middle schools. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her four children, who each believed they were her favorite, and her grandchildren and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Doris Wellborn and Donald Nunn. Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Daniel (Vickey) Ward of Flowood, MS, Darrell (Leanne) Ward of Birmingham, AL; daughters, Denise (Fran) Glasco of Orlando, FL, Diane (Ken) Ford of Pearl, MS; sister, Donna Wilson of Conway, AR; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
