Mrs. Sarah Nell Kitchens

Mrs. Sarah Nell Kitchens passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at MS Baptist Hospital in Jackson. She was 85 years old. Per her wishes, there will be a private service for the family only. Mrs. Kitchens was born August 9, 1936 in DeKalb, MS to the late David Ed and Erma Lee Morton. She was a member of the Lord’s Church and worshipped with the North Brandon Church of Christ Congregation. She was a wife of 64 years and a mother to three daughters. She graduated from St. Dominic’s School of Nursing in 1957. Along with her parents, Mrs. Kitchens is also preceded in death by her brothers, Joe Fort and David Wright. She is survived by her husband, Al Kitchens of Florence; daughters, Valerie (Chris) Bates of Florence, Sherry (Larry) Wood of Mena, AR, and Lisa (Gary) Williams of Fort Worth, TX; 9 grandchildren, Allison Bates (Brian) Hurst, Allen (Brittany) Bates, Adam Bates, Daniel Wood, Rachel Wood, Emily Williams, Olivia Williams, Caleb (Sydney) Williams, and Chloe Williams; and 2 great grandchildren, Hattie Jo Hurst and Daisy Bates.
