Sarah Nancy (Saucier) McCraw entered into her eternal reward on January 22, 2015 at her home in Byram, Mississippi. Born on April 2, 1938 in Ponchatoula, Louisiana to E. E. and Ethel Saucier Nancy grew up in a loving family in Marion County Mississippi. After graduation from Hub High School she moved to Jackson where she graduated from Draughns Business College. As a charter member of First Pentecostal Church in Jackson, she was active in the church for 58 years serving in many different areas of ministry. Nancy’s interest included many areas. Her love for gardening was apparent in the beautiful gardens that surrounded her home. She was a member of quilting clubs, the last one being Jackson Quilting Club. Over the last years her quilts, which won many awards, were displayed in museums, quilting shows and expositions. Nancy and James C. McCraw were married on December 23, 1960. They enjoyed nearly 48 years of marriage before his passing on October 2, 2008. She retired after working as a Secretary and book keeper at the Veteran of Foreign Wars, Jackson College of Ministries and John Hancock Insurance. She is survived by one brother John W. Saucier, wife Sue from Nashville, Tennessee; fourteen nieces and nephews and several great and great great nieces and nephews. Nancy completed her race and joined her parents, husband and siblings Richard, Jack, Sally, Tommie, Dovie and Jerry who have gone before of her. Visitation is scheduled at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, Mississippi on Saturday, January 24, 2015 from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on January 25, 2015 at the First Pentecostal Church with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. and service at 2 p.m. with her pastor Reverend T.
