Selma Williams Foreman passed away December 14, 2024 in Jackson, MS. She was 87 years old. Selma was born in Magee, MS on May 27, 1937 to the late Judson and Sally Warren Williams. Selma was well known in our community for dedication to her faith and service to her church; her creative expressions in the floral designs she crafted and the opportunities she took to serve others. She loved being outdoors and had a passion to grow beautiful flowers. Selma was also a talented seamstress and crafted costumes for the children’s ministry at her church. She was a woman of many talents, to say the least, she reserved her best self for her family and simply adored her great grandchildren. Selma’s legacy will live on in her family, as they show the love she showed them to one another. She is a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend that will be missed.
Selma is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Glenwood Foreman; her son, Harry G. Foreman, Jr.; nine siblings and a son-in-law, Ricky Alexander.
She is survived by her sons, Henry Chip Foreman of Pearl, MS, David Foreman and his wife, Karen of Duck Hill, MS; daughters, Joann Alexander of Brandon, MS, Patricia Davis of Tulsa, OK, and Mary Beth Alexander and her husband, J.C. of Titusville, FL; a sister, Sarah Sandifer of ?, IL; grandchildren, Sandy, Jeremi, Lacey, Ashley and Jaymi; she is leaving behind nine great grandchildren.
Visitation is set for Friday, December 20, 2024 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram beginning at 5PM until 7PM. Funeral services are at 2PM Saturday, December 21, 2024 at Chancellor Funeral in Byram with interment in Terry City Cemetery.
