Seth Patrick Reeves

Seth Patrick Reeves of Florence passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022, in Braxton. He was 28 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, September 14^th from 5:00 p.m. until the 7:00 p.m. Memorial Service all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence.

Seth was born June 10, 1994, in McComb, MS. He was raised in Grenada and attended and graduated from Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He has lived in the Florence area for the last 5 years and worked at Nucor Steel in Flowood as a Mechanical Engineer. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything outside. He also loved to build anything. Above anything, Seth loved spending time with his fiancé and their new baby girl.

Seth is preceded in death by his grandparents, Pat and Lauree Reeves and Roger and Anita Saucier. He is survived by his father, Rick (Helen) Reeves of Raleigh, MS; mother, Connie Reeves (Mike Bishop) of Water Valley, MS; sister, Sarah (John) Kubala of Florence; fiancé, Belle Failla of Florence; their daughter, Marella “Rella” Rene’ Reeves of Florence; niece, Olivia Kubala; in-laws, Cindy and David Failla of Picayune; grandmother, Shirley “Grammy” Ranatza; sisters-in-law, Marella Failla and Michaela Failla; brothers-in-law, D.J. (Catherine) Failla and Lucien Failla; and host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials in honor of the Seth Reeves Scholarship Fund for Flowood Nucor Engineering Interns be made at Renasant Bank 1100 Central Street | Water Valley, MS 38965.
