Sharrie Entrekin

Sharrie Entrekin, 74, of Byram, passed away September 3, 2023, with her family by her side. There will be a Celebration of Life Service Friday, September 8, 2023, at Lakeshore Church in Byram, MS. The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 10:00 a.m.

Sharrie was born in Shreveport, LA , June 27, 1949, to the late Calvin and Arlene May. She graduated from Clinton High School in 1967 and received her MBA from Mississippi College in 1986.

She married Hollis Entrekin in 1974, and they made their home together in Byram, MS.

Sharrie is survived by two children: Erin York (Jason), of Brandon, MS and Gina Robinson (Rob), of Wasilla, AK. She is survived by five grandchildren as well, Dylan Criddle, Mackenzie York, Shelby York, John York and Tristan Stone and one great grandchild, Matteo Stone. She is also survived by a brother, Harrell Dene May (Teresa).

Sharrie worked at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center as an Administrative Director from 1989-2013. She then went on to be the Director of Medical Staff Services of Central Mississippi Medical Center where she retired in 2014.

Sharrie was a trailblazer and mentor for many in her chosen field of Medical Staff Services within the healthcare industry. She was a true friend with a smile that could light up a room. She loved her family deeply and will be truly missed.
