Mrs. Sheila Kay Nester

Mrs. Sheila Kay Nester, 73, passed into the arms of Jesus on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at University of MS Medical Center in Jackson. The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, January 25th from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. and again, Tuesday, January 26th from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.at Daniel Memorial Baptist Church in Jackson. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories in Florence, MS. Sheila was born October 13, 1947 in Jackson, MS. She was a long-time member at Daniel Memorial Baptist Church. She worked in billing and accounting at Allstate for 22 years, before retiring from UMMC after 15 years. She was a Christian woman who loved Jesus. She loved her family and was the most giving, caring woman who would do anything for anyone. While she was a short, feisty red-head, she loved you with her whole heart. Sheila is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Noveline Bunn. She is survived by her husband, Nathan B. Nester; son, Russell (Stephanie) Wilson of Florence; daughters, Tina (Brian) Wallace of Richland and Tabitha (Brent) Calloway of Norman Park, GA; grandchildren, Shelby (Kenny) Sebren, Brandon (Alex) Wilson, Hunter Mason, Ashley (Austin) Turbeville, Emily Cole, Landan Cole, Taylor Grace and Brylee Calloway, Krystal Wallace, and Caleb Wallace; one great-grandchild, Brantley Gaffney; brothers, Troy Bunn, Ronnie (Beth) Bunn, Scott (Cathy) Bunn, and Tony (Kim) Bunn; along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
