Ms. Sheila Woods

Sheila Woods, 61, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015 at her residence. Visitation will be 5-8pm Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Sheila grew up in Roxie, but was a longtime resident of Jackson where she worked as a nurse at CMMC for forty plus years before her retirement. She was a graduate of Franklin Co. High School and MS College. Sheila had served in the National Guard as a former reserve medi-vac nurse. She loved animals and was a member of the Humane Society of America. She was a loving, kind and unselfish person who showed compassion for all and had a keen sense of humor. She brought a smile to all she met. Sheila is preceded in death by her parents, L.D. & Betty Woods, and brother Leroy Woods. She is survived by her sister, Rhonda Mallory of Jackson; her niece who was like her daughter, Jade Mallory; nephew, Charlie, and other nieces, Monya and Lillian; her loving companions, her cats, GG, Sara and Navarre.
