Shelvie Rutland

\ Shelvie Wayne Rutland, Sr., 66, died Friday July 17, 2009 at his home following a lengthy illness. Visitation will be 5-8pm today at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. \ Services will be at 11am Monday July 20, 2009 at the funeral home with burial at the Rutland Family Cemetery in Simpson County. \ Mr. Rutland was born in Tylertown, MS a son of the late Shelvie W. and Eunice Marie Griffith Rutland. He was retired from owning and operating a vending company. \ He loved woodworking and spending time outdoors. He loved animals, especially his dogs whom he referred to as his extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters Elizabeth Huff and Stephanie Cerami. \ Survivors include his wife Edna Morris Rutland of Florence. Sons Shelvie Wayne Rutland Jr. (Judy) of Florence and Tim Rutland (Stephanie) of Flowood. Daughter Loni Rutland of Florence and her fiancé Craig McCallum of Mendenhall. Sisters Carolyn Mitchell of Jackson and Linda Ezell of Madison. 11 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. \
