Shirley Moore

Shirley Temple Moore, 76, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, October 19, 2011 surrounded by her loving husband, son, grandson, and friends at MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8pm Friday, October 21, 2011 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 1:00pm Saturday, October 22 at Wynndale Baptist Church with a one hour visitation prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery.\ \ Mrs. Moore was a native of Neshoba County, MS having moved to Jackson in 1955. She had spent the last 20 years in Terry where she was a member of Wynndale Baptist Church in Harold Blair's Sunday school class. She had served as dispatcher for Jackson Police Department and retired from MS Department of Public Safety. Mrs. Moore was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who had a special loving touch in her yard and flower gardens. \ \ She is preceded in death by her parents Roy & Ruby Townsend and sister Ann Douglas.\ Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years Billie Moore of Terry; son Ricky Moore of Terry; brother Lee Townsend of Madison; sister Pauline Perry of Philadelphia and grandson Christopher Moore.\ \ On line guest book available at www.chancellorfuneralhome.com. \
