Mrs. Shirley Ann Palmer

Shirley Ann Palmer passed into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at her home in Florence, surrounded by her family. She was 69 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, October 15th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. The funeral service will be Saturday, October 16th at 3:00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories. Shirley was born December 16, 1951 to the late Leek Benton and Annabelle Brown in Isola, MS. She moved to Florence in 1994 from Jackson. A devoted wife and mother, she loved her family dearly. She enjoyed being in her garden, tending to her flowerbeds and watching her hummingbirds. Along with her parents, Shirley is also preceded in death by 2 sisters and 6 brothers. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bobby Palmer of Florence; sons, Joshua Palmer (Jennifer) of Florence, Andy Palmer (Jennifer) of Richland, Daniel Palmer of Florence, and Philip Palmer (Colleen) of Lake Mary, Fl; grandchildren, Brooke, Drew, Ashlyn, Raegan, and Livi; great grandchildren, Braiden, Blakely, and Cash on the way; brother, Walter Brown (Ann) of Seminary; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sisters-in-law.
