Shirley Turner

A beautiful lady, Mrs. Shirley Turner, 72, left for her eternal home, Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at MS Baptist Medical Center. Visitation will be Thursday, March 20th, from 5-9 p.m. and resume on Friday from 12 noon until services at 2 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Interment will follow at Clear Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.\ \ Mrs. Turner living most of her life in the Clear Branch community of Florence worked for MS Freight and Jones Truck Lines prior to her retirement. After retirement she was a caregiver for many people. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and a former member of Clear Branch Baptist Church.\ \ She is preceded in death by her parents: William and Erie Grantham; brothers: W. J., Ercel, Cercel, Richard Donald and Hagaman Grantham and husband, Roscoe Turner.\ \ She leaves behind one brother, E.W. Grantham and wife Joyce and a sister, Margaret Dill and husband Gene both of Florence along with a number of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.\ \ Family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials are made to the American Diabetes Association, Clear Branch Baptist Church or Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
