Mrs. Shirley Ann Whatley

Shirley Ann Whatley, 73, a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 in Briar Hill Rest Home in Florence. Visitation will be Friday, November 14th from 5-7pm and Saturday, November 15th from 10am until the 11pm Funeral Service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow in Glenwood Memorial Park in Richland. A native of Jackson, Mrs. Whatley was a longtime resident of Richland. She was a member of First Baptist Church Richland, and was employed as a counselor with the Public Employees Retirement System in Jackson. She was beautiful lady with a contagious smile. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Shirley leaves behind her children, Todd (Susan) Whatley of Florence, and Theresa (Billy) Fortenberry of Richland; brothers, Roy (Betty) Williams of Jackson and Eddie Williams of TN; sisters, Joy (Joe) Bell of Florence and Sylvia (Mark) Haley of Jackson; precious grandchildren; Keisha (Landry) Prestwood, Kelli Fortenberry, Jacob Whatley and Isaac Whatley; and two great grandchildren, Gage Brown and Carson Prestwood.
