Shirley Wray

Mrs. Shirley Jean Wray, 74, completed her earthly journey on September 8, 2009 at MS Baptist Medical Center. Visitation will be Thursday, September 10, 2009 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and one hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Florence City Cemetery.\ \ Mrs. Wray had made Florence her home since 1957 and was a very active member of First Baptist of Florence. She taught kindergarten at the church in the early 60's.\ \ She was preceded in death by two brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Wayne Wray; sons: Jerry (Teresa) Wray and Bobby (Debbie) Wray all of Florence; sisters: Mae Davison of Mobile, AL and Betty Robinson of Elliott, MS; grandchildren: Lessie (Lance) Evans, Joey (Ashley) Saxton, Jeremy Wray, Wes (Elizabeth) Wray, and Chad Wray; 2 great-grandchildren: Aaron and Ty Saxton.\
