Shirley Jo Howell,77 , passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012 at her home in Jackson. Visitation will be 5pm until the 6pm memorial service Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram.\ \ A native of Hazlehurst, Mrs. Howell was born to the late Shirley Aldridge and Kamaht Conn. She was a graduate of Greenwood Leflore School of Nursing, retiring as a registered nurse from MS State Hospital.\ \ Survivors include her husband of 49 years Gerald Howell of Jackson; son Richard (Brenda) Hobbs of Ridgeland; daughter Stacy (John) Byrne of Vicksburg; brothers William I.
