Mr. Sidney Thomas Fondren

Sidney Thomas Fondren, 46, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 at University Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 8th from 4-8 PM and Wednesday, October 9th from 11 AM until the 2 PM funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Richland Cemetery. Mr. Fondren has lived in the Florence area for 10 years moving from north Mississippi. A member of the Puyallup Tribe of Indians, he was a certified Heavy Equipment Operator and loved to fish, hunt, and cook. Mr. Fondren was preceded in death by his father, Sidney Hamilton Fondren. He is survived by his son, Chevy Cody Fondren of Eupora; mother and step-father, Diana and Dennis Dunbar of Florence; step-mother, Faye Raines of Eupora; brothers, Stacey Fondren of Florence, Shawn (Diana) Fondren of Florence, and Shea (Melinda) Fondren of Braxton; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
