Mr. Simeon Carl Thornhill

Simeon Carl Thornhill, 64, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014 at his home in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8pm Tuesday, August 19, 2014 and 1:00pm until the 2:00pm funeral service Wednesday, August 20, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork MS. Mr. Thornhill ,a native of Carrie, MS, was raised in Rolling Fork where he graduated from Rolling Fork High School. He worked at Central Wholesale and also worked for years at United Wholesale and Lady Bug Florist. Mr. Thornhill was a Godly, loving, husband and father and member of Raymond Road Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 16 years Linda Thornhill of Jackson; mother Beatrice Thornhill Morgan of Richland; son Raleigh Thornhill of Flora; step-children David Reimers of Florence, Chris Vernon of Jackson and Tahnya Bridges of Byram; grandchildren Devin Reimers, Austin Reimers, Tyler Bridges and Tristen Bridges.
