Donald Lee Smith,70 , passed away Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8pm Friday, November 11, 2011 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Services will be 10am Saturday in the funeral home chapel followed by interment at Beauregard Cemetery in Wesson.\ \ Mr. Smith was a native of Wesson, MS but lived in Clinton for the majority of his life. Most notably, Mr. Smith was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Cuban Crisis by securing the Cuban border. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed softball especially when coaching his daughter and granddaughters. Mr. Smith had worked as a test operator at Vickers for 38 years and was a member of Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton.\ \ He is preceded in death by his daughter Donna Lynn Smith and mother Addie S.
