\ Stella Mathilde Harrigill, 83, died Wednesday, December 5, 2007, at Pleasant Hills Community Living Center in Jackson. Visitation was 10-Noon Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Funeral Services were in the chapel at noon, followed by a graveside service at 3 p.m. at Woodyear, Stampley, Fulton Cemetery near Roxie, MS.\ Mrs. Harrigill had lived in Jackson since 1994 and was a lifelong homemaker. She was a member of Stanton Baptist Church just north of Natchez.\ She was raised at Union Church in Jefferson County before moving to Stanton in the 1940s. Mrs. Harrigill was the pianist at Stanton Baptist Church for many years.\ She made a profession of faith in Christ at an early age. She was a loving and gentle lady and much loved and admired by her family.\ Mrs. Harrigill was preceded in death by her parents George Bernard and Stella Mae Montgomery Nevels; husband, Albert Nesbit Harrigill; son, Albert Norris Harrigill; brother, George Norris Nevels, and sister, Marie Nevels Dykes.\ Mrs. Harrigill is survived by her son George Harrigill and wife Marcia of Clinton and 7 Grandchildren: Dawn Goff of Brandon; Deirdre Triggs of Gulfport; Gay Couey of Pearl; Scott Harrigill of Clinton; Katie Hanley of Gulfport; Jenni Harrigill of Tampa, FL; and Amanda Kimbrell of Clinton and 11 Great Grandchildren.\ In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Mississippi Chapter, 1900 Dumbarton Dr., Jackson, MS 39216.
