Stella L. Hines Harrison, 67 died at home after battling cancer for 13 months. She was born on July 26, 1946 to Jimmy and Fannie Hines of Conway, MS. Mrs. Harrison was an active member of Apostolic Lighthouse of Pearl. Her family was her life; she was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be missed dearly by everyone that loved her. Mrs. Harrison worked for Pearl Public Schools for 7 years in Child nutrition. She loved her job and everyone she worked with. When she wasn’t working or spending time with her children, she loved to read the Bible and pray and also enjoyed listening and singing Gospel music. When she couldn’t go to church, Church came to her. Mrs. Harrison is preceded in death by her son, James Harrison and daughter-in-law, Jeanna Harrison. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, James Douglas Harrison of Pearl; children, Clifton Harrison of Pearl, Edward (Terri) Harrison, Mary Ann (Tommy) Whittington, Teresa (Jr.) Waggoner; brothers, Billy and Jimmy Hines; sisters, Patricia Presley and Carolyn Denson; 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 30 from 5-8 pm at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence and Thursday from 9am until the 10am funeral service at Apostolic Lighthouse in Pearl. Burial will follow at Morton Memorial Gardens.
