Mr. Steve Ray Phillips

Steve Ray Phillips, 69, went to be with his Lord surrounded by his family Sunday, May 12, 2013 at his home in Florence. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 14th from 5-8 PM and Wednesday, May 15th from 9 AM until the 10 AM funeral service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Pearson Cemetery in Pearl. Mr. Phillips has lived in Florence since 1983 and was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church. He was a contractor for the Clarion Ledger and enjoyed gardening. He loved his family and loved spending time with his wife, kids, and grandkids. Mr. Phillips is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lillie Faye Phillips of Florence; son, Robert (Susan) Phillips of Florence; daughters, Teena (Rusty) Rush, Debbie (Jeff) Mann, and Stephanie (Shane) Smith all of Florence; brothers, Johnny Phillips of Jackson, Gibson Phillips of Richland, Jimmy Phillips of Florence; 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
