Steve Speights\ Star\ \ \ George Stephen (Steve) Speights, 58, went to be with the Lord on September 10, 2011. Visitation will be from 5-8 on Sunday and from 9:30-10:30 on Monday at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence with an 11:00 graveside following at Wesleyanna Cemetery in Star, MS. \ \ Steve, who was born on April 8, 1953, was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a skilled brick mason who took pride in his work.\ \ He was preceded in death by his son, Chuck Speights. He is survived by his spouse, Dianne Burnham Speights of Star; parents, Donald Speights Sr. and Lois Speights of Star; Daughter, Laurissa (Lee) Hedgepeth of Florence; Step-son, Mark (Shannon) Cook of Brandon; Brothers, James (Louise) Speights of Florida and Donald (Dot) Speights Jr. of Star; Sisters, Arlene Harrison of Star, Rita (Oley) Smith of Star, and Sherry (Ronnie) Boyd of Richland, six grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews....
