Sue Ellen Helmick

Sue Ellen Helmick passed away and into the arms of her Lord and Savior at the age of 79 on May 02, 2023, in Terry, MS, surrounded by her loving family.

Sue was born in Galveston, Texas, on November 30th, 1943. She was one of four daughters born to Thomas Guy and Dorothea Riley. She was a long-time member of Lakeshore Church in Byram.  People closest to her described Sue as having a generous and giving nature. Sue showed love to everyone she met, her compassion and care was always abundant, one with a true servant's heart.  She was creative and very talented and that could be seen in her painting. She also enjoyed cooking, and gardening. Sue was extremely devoted to her family; a loving mother and grandmother whose proudest accomplishments will always be her children and grandchildren.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Barbara Riley Brown; and a grandson, Corbin Hosey.

Sue is survived by her three children; Duane Helmick (Lisa), Ken Helmick (Kelli), Rhonda Helmick Hosey (Dane), as well as two sisters, Kathy Russell (Kurt) of Savanah, GA and Linda Berry (Richard) from Jackson MS along with six grandchildren; Britney Meredith (Jon), Dale (Destiny) Helmick, Kaiden Helmick, Keaton Helmick and Riley Grace Hosey followed by adorable great grandchild Virginia Meredith.
