Ms. Sylvia Smiley

Sylvia Hudson Smiley went to be with her blessed Lord, Sunday, July 27, 2014, at home surrounded by her family. She was born January 10, 1926 to Wayland and Grace Hudson. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Robert A. Smiley, and two grandsons, Charles Stephens and Taylor Woodruff. She is survived by her children: son, Robert A. Smiley II (Carol) of Laurel, two daughters, Sandra Smiley and Martha Woodruff (Cliff) both of Byram. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Jeana S. Sims (David), and Thomas Woodruff, and two great grandsons, Charles and Carter Sims. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and host of dear friends. She was a loving, caring mother and grandmother, and loved her friends dearly. She loved spending time with friends and her home was always opened to everyone! Visitation will be 5:30-7:30pm Tuesday, July 29, 2014 and 1pm until the 2pm funeral service Wednesday, July 30, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram.
