Taylor Cleveland Baker, Jr., 89 , passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at his home in Byram. Visitation will be 11am until the 1pm funeral service Saturday, February 7, 2015, all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. Mr. Baker was a Veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII and lived most of his life in Hinds County. He was a retired furnace operator with GE after 40 years of service and member of Daniel Memorial Baptist Church where he served as Deacon. He is preceded in death by his wife Ann Baker, his parents Taylor Cleveland Baker, Sr., and Angeline McRaney Baker and 8 siblings, Leslie Baker, Earl Baker, Waudell Baker, Verdee Herrin, Laudee Williams, Pauline Burnham, Nell Horn and Viver Hannis. Survivors include his son Gerald C. (Mary) Baker, Sr. of Pattison; daughters Brenda (Arthur) Broadhead of Laurel and Cora (Rusty) Allen of Raymond; 6 grandchildren, Clay Baker (Susan), Anne Marie Baker, Angeline Baker, Shaun Brown (John), Dillon Allen (Elizabeth), Brian Allen; and 12 great grandchildren, Thomas Baker, Taylor Baker, Amber Williams, Dana Clair Williams, Janet Lynn Williams, Caleb Broadhead, Ilan Habersham, Jasmine Brown, Jailyn Brown, Lily Price Allen, Aiden Allen and Cole Allen.
