Mrs. Terri Lindsey passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at her residence in Florence. She was 59 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, January 6, 2023, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. and a celebration of her life will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence.
Terri was born on January 27, 1963, to the late James O. Elliott and Alice Emily Omaha in Jackson but raised in Hattiesburg and moved to Florence at the age of 13. She was a member of Wells Church. She had a BS in Food Service working for 25 years at Hinds Community College, 11 years at MS State Hospital, then Madison School Systems and 6 years Brandon High School. She loved reading, dragons and MSU.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, James Wesley Elliott. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, James Lindsey of Florence; daughter; Alesha (Matt) Dees of Florence; son; Robert Lindsey of Raymond; brothers; George Strack of Hattiesburg, David Strack of Hattiesburg, and Bob Strack of Hattiesburg; sister; Traly Horner of Florence; grandchildren; Peyton and Kylie Dee’s; Jayden, Jase and Carlee Lindsey.
