Mr. Terry Lee Hales

Terry Lee Hales, 73, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2022 in Florence, MS. Terry was born on December 12, 1948 in Philadelphia, Miss. to the late Pauline Burt Hales and Arthur Lee Hales. He was raised in Jackson, Miss. and graduated from Central High School in 1968. Terry worked for more than 30 years in route sales for various food companies, including Golden Flake and Dolly Madison, before retiring. He had a keen sense of humor, was an animal lover, had a particular sweet tooth for ice cream, and enjoyed attending local dirt track car races every chance he got. Along with his parents, Terry was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Hales and Calvin Hales. He is survived by his two sons, Scott Hales of Florence, MS and Mike Hales of Auburn, AL; grandchildren, Tristan Hales, Chase Hales, Sage Chapman, and Noble Chapman; nieces, Sherry Toler and Wendy Sparks, and nephew Chris Hales. Due to COVID, a private memorial will be scheduled at a later date.
