Ms Thessie "Pat" Barber

Ms. Thessie “Pat” Hurst Barber crossed over Jordan to Heaven on Friday, November 27, 2015. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be scheduled at a later date. Ms. Barber moved from Baton Rouge, LA to Florence five years ago. She loved to read, draw, and collect coins. Ms. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce; daughter, Carol Kay; and, her parents, Daner Hurst and Fannie Freeman Hurst; and her brother, James Hurst of New Orleans, LA. She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Richard) Hodges of Florence, MS, and, Cathy Barber of Orange Park, FL; brothers, Frank (Jackie) Hurst of Prattville, AL; sister Betty (James) Prickett of Alexander City, AL; grandchildren, Kim (Kurtis) Stevens and Kendall Ogden of Baton Rouge, LA; step granddaughters, Tommie (Joey) Turner and Holly (Rowdy) Yeates; great grandchildren, Jordan, Alexander, Jacob, Kendrick, Jeremiah, and Shiloh Fuscilto of Orange Park, FL.
