Thomas Lee Chilton, 64, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2009 at his home in Byram. A memorial service will be held at 11am Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at Heritage Baptist Church.\ \ Mr. Chilton had lived in the Byram area for 23 years having come from Clinton. He was retired from the MS Employment Security Commission with over 25 years of service and worked for 6 years at the Hinds County Sheriffs Office as Deputy at the Detention Center. He was a member of Heritage Baptist Church.\ \ Survivors include his wife of 29 years Shirley Chilton of Byram; daughter, Nita McCann (Charlie) of Natchez; step-daughters, Melissa Howell of Pelahatchie and Ellen Eiler of Clinton; step-sons, Greg Eiler of Florence and Gary Eiler of Tupelo; sisters, Becky Hartzog of Baton Rouge, LA and Cindy Hawthorne of Mandeville, LA; grandchildren, Kristina Knight (Mikey), James Howell (Amber), Elisabeth Eiler, Emily Eiler, Zachary Eiler, Noa Eiler and Kate McCann; great grandchildren, Ryan Knight, Makayla Knight, Chance "Boogie" Knight and Mary Knight.\ \ In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The American Lung Association.
