Thomas "Tom" Milton Palmer

Thomas “Tom” Milton Palmer passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2023, in Jackson, Mississippi. He was 66 years old. The family will receive friends for visitation from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. The Memorial Services will begin at 3:00 p.m. followed by a second visitation from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.

Tom was born on November 13, 1956, to Andy & Mary Lynn Palmer in Jackson, Mississippi. He was a plant supervisor for Big 3 Meter Repair. Tom was a free spirit who valued independence. He enjoyed being a part time cowboy. Tom was a jokester. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking and music. But most of all he was proud of his family. His wife, three sons and his grandchildren gave him great joy. He helped raise his grandchildren. Tom had a servant’s heart, using his talents to help others. He will be greatly missed.

Tom is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Deborah Palmer of Mendenhall; sons, Nathan Palmer (Takiyah) of Austin, TX, Jason Palmer (Kara aka Tara) of Dripping Springs, TX, and Joseph Palmer of Richland; brothers, Bobby Palmer, Ray Palmer (Sandy), Jim Palmer (Carol), and John Palmer (Gina); grandchildren, Ethan Palmer, Addison Palmer, Jude Palmer, Brooklyn Palmer and Eleanor Palmer.
