Tim Wayne McCrory

Mr. Tim Wayne McCrory passed away suddenly on March 30, 2023, at the age of 63.  Tim’s home was the open road. He was born on August 24, 1959.  He was one of eight children born to Harold and Edna McCrory of Durant, MS.   He was a carpenter and enjoyed building and woodworking.  He was a truck driver for J.A.B. Express for many years.  He loved traveling the states in his big truck, affectionately called his “Green Eyed Lady”.  Tim was an avid Ole Miss and Indianapolis Colts fan and tried to catch every game he could.  He loved his family and friends and treasured spending time with them.  His trucking friends knew him by his CB handle “Renegade”.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Billy McCrory.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Liz McCrory of Terry; a son, Timothy Wayne MCrory of Texas; 3 stepchildren, Sedgie Bond(Kelley) of Oxford, AL; Monica Herrington(Brent) of Crystal Springs, MS; Tabatha Bond(Cassie) of Florence, MS; and a step grandchild, Annabella Robinson.  Along with those left to mourn his loss are his 2 sisters, Carolyn Harris(Jimmy) of Greenwood, MS, and Mary Childs of Florida; and 4 brothers, Tommy McCrory(Tammy) of Greenwood, MS, William McCrory of Greenwood, MS, Roger McCrory of Benton, MS, and Stoney McCrory of Greenwood, MS.

Friends will be received by family on April 7, 2023 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00am at the Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram.
