T.J. Sledge, Sr.

Thomas Jefferson Sledge, Sr., 77, of Forney, TX passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the home of his granddaughter, surrounded by family in Star, MS. A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 30th at 11:00 A.M. at the Garden of Memories in Florence with visitation from 9-11 am prior to the service at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence.\ \ Mr. Sledge was born in Readland, AR but called Texas his home since the early seventies. He worked as a salesman for Hammer Auto Sales.\ \ Mr. Sledge was survived by his wife, Sandra Sledge of Forney, TX; sons, Tommy Perkins of Independence, LA and Gerald Sledge of Kittanning, PA; daughters, Sherry McDougall of Beaumont, TX, Laura Lusk of North Augusta, S.C., Brenda Sojourner of Hazelhurst, MS , Marci Levine of Forney, TX, and Penny Hillman of Lake, MS; grandchildren, Cherry and Johnny Evans of Star, MS; Tiffany Odom of Hazelhurst, MS , Michail Sojourner of Ridgeland, MS, Jordan, Regan, Ashley and Lauren Lusk of North Augusta, South Carolina,...
