Tommy “Buddy” Larry Hudson, Jr., 45, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 at his home in Richland after a battle with cancer. Visitation will be Sunday, September 23rd from 2:00 p.m. until the 3:00 p.m. funeral service at Hickory Ridge Baptist Church in Florence. Burial will follow at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Smith County. Buddy was born in Jackson and raised in Pearl before moving to Richland. He was a member of Hickory Ridge Baptist Church. He was a diesel generator technician for GTI and Ameritt Flett. He loved to fish and hunt and enjoyed racing 4-wheelers and remote-control cars at Flowood RC Indoor Park. Buddy is preceded in death by his father, Tommy Larry Hudson, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 1 year, Brandy Hudson of Richland; son, Mason Corder of Richland; daughter, Desiree Pope of Richland; mother, Carolyn Hudson of Pearl; mother-in-law, Rene Corder of Richland; sisters, Jenny Morehead (Jeff) of Pearl and Cindy Simpson (Steve) of Dallas, GA; Nephew, Josh Morehead (Whitney) of Flowood; nieces, Sarah Skaggs (Michael) of Pearl, Caroline Simpson of Dallas, GA, Catherine Webb (Christopher) Billa Rica, GA, and Emily Simpson of Dallas, GA and a host of friends.
