Mr. Tommy "Redeye" Hodges

Tommy Lee Hodges, 64, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Copiah Medical Center in Hazlehurst, MS. The family will receive friends for visitation Tuesday, June 25th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. and again Wednesday, June 26th from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service all at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Burial will follow at Clear Branch Baptist Church. Tommy was born March 10, 1955 to the late Lee R. and Willie Louise Hodges in Jackson, MS. He lived his whole life in Florence. He was a truck driver for a living, currently driving for Sojourner Trucking. Tommy is survived by his sons, Israel Hodges of Florence and Marc Bourassa of Alaska; his brother, James D. Hodges of Richland; sisters, Penny Hodges Mitchell of Florence and Patricia “Trisha” Hodges Shows of Florence; two grandchildren, Trinity and Taylor; fiancé’ Irene Bourassa of Florence, and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Jude Research Hospital.
