Tommy Ray Sullivan, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on November 10, 2023, at the age of 73 in Terry, MS. Born on November 5, 1950, in Hattiesburg to James Dallas Sullivan and Bobbie Nell Sheppard.
Tommy was a hardworking individual who dedicated 31 years of his life to Delphi Automotive in Clinton, MS before retiring as an inspector.
He enjoyed spending his free time watching Westerns on TV and the Food Channel. However, his true passion was watching sports, particularly when his beloved Bulldogs were playing. Tommy was an avid Mississippi State fan and never missed an opportunity to cheer for his team during their football games. Although these things brought him great joy, nothing compared to the love Tommy had for his family. He treasured every moment spent with them and always looked forward to family gatherings. His wife of 51 years, Sheila NaDene Bryant Sullivan stood by his side through thick and thin. Together they created a beautiful family filled with love and laughter.
Tommy is survived by his loving wife Sheila; daughter Tracy Marchant and her husband Keith; son Curtis Ray Sullivan; brother Robert Sullivan and his wife Diane; grandchildren Emily Williams and her husband Zach, April Neely, Madison Sullivan, Austin Sullivan; as well as great-grandchildren Alana Williams, Parker Warren, and Maxwell Purvis.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Dallas and Bobbie Nell Sullivan; sister Judy Nell (Wayne) Sullivan; and brother Johnny Sullivan.
The void created by Tommy's departure will be deeply felt by all those who knew him. He will be remembered as a devoted family man, a loyal friend, and an esteemed colleague.
A visitation service for friends and loved ones will be held on November 14, 2023, at Chancellor Funeral Home Byram Location in Byram, MS. The visitation will begin at 5:00 PM and conclude at 7:00 PM. The family will hold a private memorial service.
